Band Member writes commissioned Piobaireachd to commemorate WW2 US Navy tragedy

Very honoured and proud to have an original composition of mine published in Scotland this week, part of larger collection of music due later this year. Long before 9/11 and the acts of generosity expressed by Newfoundlanders during the terrorist attacks in the USA, Newfoundlanders have been helping our neighbours to the South including this naval disaster. Pibroch or Cèol Mòr has been described as the classical music of the Highland bagpipe . The tunes resemble an Italian Rondo in structure featuring variations on a theme. They are lengthy pieces of music and can take anywhere from 8 to 18 minutes to play. This tune comes in at just under 10 minutes.
